Steps To Update HTC Incredible S with AOKP Jellybean 4.1.1 Firmware

The main thing to be noted while updating the firmware is that to root your device. To check whether Incredible S is rooted or not, you should download “Root Checker”. Incredible S can b e rooted on any firmware and the instructions also given below to root it.

First download the two packages called Jellybean 4.1.1 firmware and Google Apps to your computer. After downloading you have to connect your HTC Incredible S device to the computer using the USB cable. The two downloaded packages has to be placed in the device. Once these done, disconnect the device from the computer and switch off the device to make it to be in the recovery mode. The device will enter into the recovery mode through the boot loader mode.

Now the device has to be booted up. By pressing the Volume Down key and Ok button together(volume down +ok), and pressing the power button simultaneously, so that boot loader mode enters in your HTC Incredible S device. Suppose if  it boots in the normal mode, you have to enter it into the recovery mode.

You have to select the option “recovery” in the boot loader mode to make it enter into the recovery mode. Then select “install zip from sd card” and “choose zip from sd card” in the recovery mode. Now choose the application packages called Jellybean 4.1.1 ROM firmware and Google Apps which you have transferred from computer to your Incredible S device. Update time will be around 4-5 minutes.
